In a unexpected crossover event that defies usual predictions, the game developer has revealed an in-game collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Questline Revealed

According to the formal release, "A mysterious encounter pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where rumors of forbidden ceremonies and terrifying changes reverberate through the obscurity." The narrative features a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with venturing into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her ally from a clandestine sect.

The questline centers on "strange trials and a monstrous foe" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Familiar Places and Changes

The trailer highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer ends with a powerful sequence showing a character, presumably the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Rewards and Extra Material

Players who successfully complete the adventure will acquire an exclusive katana in addition to multiple items concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

Third Free Story Update

This update also brings the game's newest complimentary story episode, titled "The Mystery."
